StickyBrain allows you to assign key combinations (a.k.a. hot keys) to a Shortcut. A Shortcut can be used to grab content, paste content, lookup password, etc. It can perform these actions by pressing a hot key. Shortcuts can be assigned to a note, folder, or a specific function. For more information on Shortcuts, launch StickyBrain and choose Help > StickyBrain Help, and see the chapter Shortcuts.

To see which hot keys have been assigned to Shortcuts, do the following:

1. Choose StickyBrain > Preferences, and click the Shortcuts button. The hot keys for each of these Shortcuts will be listed. Click the "Change" button if you would like to change the hot key.

2. Select a folder in the Folder drawer and choose Folder > Edit Shortcut. The Folder Shortcut window will show the hot key that is assigned to the Shortcut. Click the Clear button to remove the hot key assignment or press a new key combination to change the hot key. Repeat this step for each of the folders in the Folder drawer.

3. Select a note and choose Note > Edit Shortcut. The Note Shortcut window will show the hot key that is assigned to the Shortcut. Click the Clear button to remove the hot key assignment or press a new key combination to change the hot key. Repeat this step for each of the notes in the database.

To quickly see which notes have Shortcuts assigned to them, choose View > Note Columns > Shortcut. This will add the Shortcut column to the viewer window. Then click the Shortcut column heading to sort on that column.
