Service menu's can be created dynamically or statically. Service menu's that are created dynamically like StickyBrain do not work in Carbon applications that support services such as BBEdit, Mailsmith, and Text Wrangler. This appears to be a bug in Apple's Carbon framework. We have filed a bug with Apple and hope they can resolve this issue as soon as possible. Service menu's that are created statically will work in Carbon applications that support services.
